This Privacy Policy explains how PuzzlePix ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.

- Account data: email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile name and avatar.
- Content you upload: images you turn into puzzles, and puzzle metadata (title, grid size, visibility).
- Usage data: play counts, reports you submit, basic interaction events.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and server logs.

3. Why we use it (legal bases)
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): to provide the service — accounts, puzzles, gameplay.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security, abuse prevention, service improvement.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for non-essential cookies and optional features.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): to comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
4. Who processes your data
We use trusted service providers (processors) to run PuzzlePix, including hosting, authentication, and storage providers. These processors only handle your data under our instructions.
5. International data transfers
Some processors may store or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active, and content (uploaded images and puzzles) until you delete it or your account. Logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging.
7. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data and get a copy of it.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and database row-level security. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. Children
PuzzlePix is safe for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children that would require parental consent under applicable law. If you believe a child's data has been collected without authorization, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
